It used to be a 1 shot deal but this made sapper/CE overpowered.
Alternatively you can coop with a rifleman and have them drop a ammobag right after first c4 is placed to rearm on. then place a 2nd one.
MIL & INS Sappers remote charge can blow up a radio on its own tho. can be used in combination with a drone or bike to rush it in quickly on the radios location.
C4 from any faction deals damage so a sapper needs to dig 12 times - down to the next stage. This is about 10 seconds. Placing C4, waiting around 15s and then start digging ensures the enemy will most likely not be able to safe the radio.
The explosion radius is small, around 3m max.
An IED is a onehit to any radio within a pretty decent range of 8m or more. Placing an IED outside of a small house with a radio inside destroys it pretty much all the time. So fighting against Insurgents or Militia means, hiding a radio within a wall or behind a fob can be abused by them to either block the FOB by hitting the radio hard enough to not be destroyed or destroy it from the outside without even entering a house.
Both explosives work through walls.
