[SOLVED/FIXED]Sound not Working, and game crashing in online servers
in other games sound work fine, and still crashing when i'm go online servers.


I'm go to this folder> C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Squad\Saved\Crashes

EDIT FIX: Problem solved, installing "directx_Jun2010_redist" link to download> https://download.microsoft.com/download/8/4/A/84A35BF1-DAFE-4AE8-82AF-AD2AE20B6B14/directx_Jun2010_redist.exe

Theres a few of us out there who get this bug at random times where the sound and screen start to drop in FPS hard locking up to 0 fps and eventually either crashes trying to boot back to the server list (which it never makes it even tho the helmets are moving - task manager: states is it no longer working). or it crashes and sits there while i get to listen to a fraction of a sound bit over and over eventually having to again use Task manager to close / end process.

it seems this games sound layers begin to desync which seems to cause hardware to glitch/bug out loosing its ability not only to hold steady frames but also sound. I have hundreds of other games never have i experienced something such as this. Where it seems its a sound layer issue? i dont wanna point fingers either but this deff started to happen after the change in directors .. and the new shaders patch was implemented.

with my lil rant outta the way:
My query is does this directx roll back fix that specific situation?
- could u also explain where u applied the folder / extracted it to.

If you saw in the log error of Failed to create XAudio2 interface

Just download the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe extract and run the DXSetup.exe

Remember this issue is old, check the error log.

i have attempted to test out to see if this fix works .. and it does not for me. i have not tried since the newest update to Squad .. the fact a 50$ game is gonna ask 8$ for emojis is sicking - they really believe emojis are worth 1/5 of the games content, this has perturbed me from even playing this game anymore .. ((( if i do retry the test with the new update ))) .. i will re-edit or post a new reply to let yall know..

but honestly they are doing nothing to help players and seemingly dont care .. sooo why should I?
