Video settings wont change

OK....since the update to version 12 I had a major issue with Frame Rate. In an attempt to resolve it I went to settings and started changing them one at a time. One of the things I did was change the gamma setting to the highest setting, applied the setting and it was ok but I wondered what the impact would be if I lowered it all the way to zero. Well lo and behold most of the screen turned black and I can't see any of the settings to raise the gamma now. I cant even see anything at the bottom right of the screen to return to default. I uninstalled the game from steam and reinstalled it but it seems to have kept those settings somewhere. Anyone have any idea how I can correct this? Is there some file I can delete somewhere that will recreate the video settings to default value in this game?

Delete the cache. C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Squad.

Also try to have an idea of whatever the hell you're changing. Your actions resemble the ones of a chimp on a typewriter.

By the way you can go back to your previous settings since everything was pretty much fixed.

I did have an idea what I was changing however there was no expectation that moving the gamma to 0 would have that impact. I have moved those settings before and did not have that same impact.

Alright, I may have been rude but it seemed quite baffling to me that someone would do that and expect a game to be playable.

They released a patch today for the textures issue causing people to have massive chop ingame.

I do appreciate the replies but I the options to even change settings does no appear. The pattch was downloaded and also I did not actuallly delete the cache file noted above I did rename it so it should be ignored. I also unsyncyed the app from st4eam but so far nothing has worked. I guess I will just submit a ticket to support to see what they suggest. I have changed the gamma in prior versdions because some of the maps some rooms were totally dark and as expecgted it made them where you could see in the rooom .... basically from a programming perspective that is what gamma adjustment does in its simplest form but I have never had it make the screen pretty much totally black. I will eventually figure it out but was hoping others might have already done so. :)

OK.....I figured out how to get things back where they were. First I did not launch the game via steam. I checked the local files folder where squad is installed and there is an application file named Squad Launcher. I launched directly from there and the settings restored to the default settings. I closed the game and relaunched it via steam and all is back to where it was. Hopefully if anyone else experiences this issue maybe this solution would work for them.
