Movement speed?
What is the reason for you moving slow as a snail in this game?
Don't the developers understand the point of an adrenaline rush?
Soldiers don't casually jog/walk when they're being shot at irl..

It is not like the soldiers are carrying 50-100 kg bags in this game, they should be able to run faster than a snail. The unrealistic slow movement and super low stamina is only in the game to pretend that it is a more realistic tactical shooter than other faster fps games. You act as a bullet sponge when attacking in this game, you slowly move forward like it was the napoleon war where you used stupid formations and just died for no real reason..

I used to gather with people and play airsoft with realistic weapons and equipment and we ran very quickly around the battlefield that was a few kilometer. Are the soldiers in this game a bunch of lazy computer nerds that need a cab driver to drive them everywhere?

Slow speed slows gameplay which is realistic and tactical. Its not that bad honestly. Again its not a Mil Sim. Squad takes balance over realism and fun over realism. Some people think the pace could be even slower and I dont diagree as much as speeding the gameplay up.

Not only does adrenaline rush not come from fast speed you wouldnt consider bf where you dont move like a bullet sponge and move fast a tactical shooter

You move as fast as a snail even when you aren't being shot at, you casually jog/walk towards the objective and you're very dead if you need to cross an open field, the enemy can't miss a big snail. I remember the good old days when you could actually run in this game, the game was very hard and tactical without the movement nerf or whatever they did to the movement speed.

Slower gameplay implies to the whole game not just combat. You shouldnt be crossing openfields without cover anyways. Also how old are you into this game to only have 31 hrs and say "good old days" Come on. You have 30 hrs on record last 2 weeks. The game was maybe hard because everyone instantly belly flopped onto the ground. Also sure faster walking speed opens up more options but it also makes combat more arcady and a run and gun which many players hated. These issues are fixed by decreasing speed of the game. Chamces are you picked up a wrong game, I think your games prove this

I mainly played this game a little now and then when it was newly released but back then it was very unstable thus my low play time in this game. Would you call real life combat arcady because the soldiers have more movement options than what they have in this game? Players didn't hate the movement speed of the game before they nerfed it to the ground, it was already back then kind of slow but it was ok.

Again I say it again. The movement speed is related with the gameplay speed. Real life combat isnt arcady because people wont just runn and gun like they would in videogames. Same with your second point. People might have not hated movement speed but they did surely hate the run and gun style they had. Also out of 31 hrs 30hrs are from last 2 weeks. Lets not lie in the forums. Testing atleast 2 major builds would take atleast an hr. You barely even played a match before last 2 weeks

Look at 2015 footage and you see that this game never was a run and gun game. Stamina management was a big part of the game even back then, and you had to play the game tactically with your team to get anything done against decent enemies.

the devs want balance over realism, your argument is invalid. slower movement encourages teamwork

I bought and played the game back in 2015: https://ibb.co/cb4UO9
Why whould I even act like I played the game back in 2015 if I didn't?

The movement speed had nothing to do with balancing since both teams could move at the same speed, a speed that wasn't too fast and you didn't have infinite stamina which limited how far you could run, but at least you could run.

Stop exaggerating. Running speed is fine. This isn’t battlefield 4. Most of the times soldiers don’t run flat out to conserve stamina and preserve aim. If you want devs to alter running speed based on whether a player is being shot at or not then that won’t be happening I think.

Super low stamina? even top end athletes struggle to get their breath back in seconds like you do in this game...
yilv Aug 11, 2018 @ 4:28am
If you were to actually look at the numbers, the speed is actually a bit too fast, (ca. 12secs for 100m from fulll stamina last I checked) considering the gears that the character is wearing, is mostly just looks so slow, because of the 90° FOV ingame, compared to then 170° you get in real life, which makes distant objects seem closer too you than they are. (ca. w12secs for 100m from fulll stamina last I checked)

more people complained about how its unrealisitic to casually walk in a firefight than complain about players being slow
