Fix For Stuttering!

So I was browsing google and came across a post from

"We have listed some basic commands to fix some common issues that users might have.
These commands provides some fixes for the following:
Server browser not showing servers
Stuttering
Low FPS
Missing ingame compass
Texture Glitches


(Please note that these commands don't apply all fixes for the issues above and you should try the specific help articles for those issues if these commands do not fix them)

Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands line by line:

powercfg -s 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c
RD /S /Q "%localappdata%\squad"
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
sc config "GameScannerService" start= disabled
sc stop "GameScannerService"


After running the commands reboot your pc and try to run the game.

Note* This will delete your user cache which will reset all of your in-game settings including resolution and keybinds."

I've tried deleting my cache multiple times to no avail but after running these commands Squad is now stutter free and happily running at 60 fps on most maps. still get the odd Dip in FPS but nothing like the 30-40 fps MAX i was getting before. Just thought i would post this as it was 9 months ago the original was posted.

If anyone tries it post back and report your findings :)

powercfg -s 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c Sets your power plan to high performance. I run Windows "secret" Ultimate performance plan. Has to be unlocked, so ihad to revert back to that. and now it runs even better.... Been looking for this fix for 9 months lol. 3 rounds now and all much smoother, stutters are gone, and the drops that do occur are minimal. Worth a shot if your having issues
