14.7GB RAM usage

That was the first time I've ever seen my total RAM usage at 100%. I'm seeing discussions about this issue as early as Jan 2016. When will this get sorted out?

I wouldn't really call that a good fix. I've never seen a game use this much RAM before. I know its still alpha, but to still be having such a critical issue after two and a half years?

as you said the game still in alpha so you should wait untill they make more updates and see what happens next

I'd buy more RAM if it wasn't so outrageously expensive now. I bought 16GB Kingston HyperX 2133mhz for £45 back in 2013. Right now the same kind of RAM is £85 for 8GB.

its not that expensive you can manage that if you have work but if not better stay with what you have your ram is fine

The game is massive in terms of scale. So i really think a 16 gb ram is a must here for good settings. Not sure if you are using the preload texture option, in case turn it off should help lessen the ram usage.

Funny, I logged it today and after the first match it went up to 15,7GB Ram usage.

This game IS ram heavy, ALWAYS will be.
So if you guys wanna play this game anytime soon without any problems, you have to upgrade your rig to 16gb; but at the same time I ve to say that these 16Gb of ram would be enough!
Got the same package an the game runs like its meant 2 be. No stuttering, no nothing
(4930k, 16Gb ram, gtx 1080 if its important)

The reason for this is quite simple. The game takes what its there to take. So if there is just 8gb of ram, it will use that, if there is more, it will use that as well.

There is just a minimum of 8 and a recommended amount of 16; like in alot of other games this year too.

Nothing to worry or get angry about.

i have 16 Gb atm i play squad and it takes only 5..

can be up to 8 but thats it.

So kill your virus.exe it has a memory leak
