In Post Scriptum they fixed this with a great feature, with the mouse scroll you could set the sensitivity higher and lower to a certain level, really great when turning turrets.
My temporary workaround is setting three mouse resolutions and switching between them, but that's using up 2 mouse buttons that could be for other things...
You SHOULD take like forever to turn the turret!
Or do I not get your point?

A cap on the turret rotation speed would be a welcome compromise. As long as I don't have to swipe & lift my mouse 4-5 times just to rotate 180 degrees.
