Brightness way too low

I find the brightness of this game is somewhat broken/bugged. On some darker maps I can't even see my own weapon (gamma turned up to max), and even on the brightest desert maps everything is still "normally" bright (gamma turned up to max).

Is this a bug or a feature? If it's a feature, could we at least get a brightness slider of some sort? Because on dark maps (is it even night maps???) people with a good IPS panel screen like me can't really play the game...

agreed ! maps seem to be abit darker for some reason.

I could use SweetFX, true. That's beside the point though, I want a fix, not having to fix it myself.

I notice this too gamma must be turned up to 3, if i set gamma to 1 on say a cloudy map it's way too dark, the lighting seems really screwy

Did you try enabling/disabling eye adaptation in the options menu?

I have eye adaptation turned off, I tried it on but doesn't seem to do anything

What's the brightness on your monitor set to? My in-game gamma is 3 and my monitor brightness is 100.

I think it has to do with your monitors. the brightness is fine for me even with gamma at default. also if you look at lcd monitors from odd angles it would appear to be darker/brighter

Well I got a monitor with a wide viewing angle (doesn't distort a lot when viewed at angles) and my gamma and brightness look fine in other games and on the desktop.

My brightness is just fine in all games (except on night maps or so). Brightness on my screen is set to 60 but that's already as bright as I need it to be, everything else gets too bright. The game just seems a bit screwed up...

Also, I'm sitting right in front of it lol.

is this too dark? im not familiar with military rules if someone can clarify whether the use of flash lights or head lights are allowed during night ops. but other than that, I think the lighting is pretty good, I can see everything just not super clear i mean obviously because it's night time and it's supposed to look this way. i haven't even turned up the gamma in this btw. 2.20 gamma

it's a nice monitor. adjust the contrast? should help bring out the blues a bit more.
