Squad
Squad CPU or GPU intensive?
So I have a low range pc (FX 6300, 8GB of RAM and GTX 750 Ti OC edition (2gb).

It's quote on quote between the reccomended setup but I get awful FPS drops to 0 in huge firefights, I have no money to buy a better GPU or CPU right now (Tech is really expensive in my country).

Is my setup okay? is it an issue with my game config? what can I do to avoid these drops? (Game is just fine most of the time, even at 70FPS constant currently, but the huge firefights just ♥♥♥♥ it up)

I see on your profile that you've stated you've overclocked your FX 6300. Since you did that my suggestion would be to upgrade to at least a GTX 960 and 16GB of system memory, I had the same setup as you awhile back. Stepping up my videocard and memory cured the fps spikes in combat
It's a combination of the two. I had an FX 8350 with the GTX 1060 and it didn't fare too well. Upgraded to the i7 7700k and now it runs very well.
Squad doesn't really like AMD cpu's. There has been a lot of complaining about it, hopefully they can optimize it in the future. What I would reccomend:

Clear your cache in settings
Turn everything to low
Close out other proccess running in the backround

Otherwise there isn't much that can be done, sorry bout that :(
RAM is a bit of an issue for you with 8GB. I also have 8GB and I can run it, but it is definitely stretching it. If a large process decides to spontaneously run in the background my computer will essentially freeze (not literally). Forcing me to exit squad.

Unfortunately, however, your GPU is really your main problem. This game has a lot of textures, and demands a lot from VRAM. 2 GB of VRAM is not enough. As stated by seagull, if you can turn down the settings, it should help your GPU keep up... maybe...

As for the CPU, I do not know enough about AMD CPU's to know if it is causing any problems.

2GBs of VRAM is enough, the problem with his card isn't its VRAM, it's the processing power of the card itself

Don't really have the money, even if I could afford it, GTX 960's are not sold here anymore.

If it serves anything, I've also overclocked my GPU.

I will keep that in mind.

However, do keep in mind that mostly I am above 50FPS, but sometimes only, rarely, I get this huge stuttering when for example 3 vehicles fire at once or there's a huge firefight.

I'll admit, this didn't happen before the Experimental V10, but I'd still wouldn't be able to play if the game were to stay like this.
Very cpu intensive but they really have optimized it a lot. I don't play Squad very often, but I've had it since last spring, and last time I played a month or 2 ago, it ran much better than previously. 6600k stock speed and rx 480 4gb
I would say both, It needs a really good GPU and a CPU that can handle the 100 player battles. I played this game on a FX 8350 and R9 390x only got 30-50fps then went to i7 6700 with R9 390x and started to get 70-80 fps, ?I later went the I7 7700k and GTX 1080 route at 1440p getting above 110+ fps all the time so I would say this game is pretty fair, slow IPC = Low FPS

It seems like you've made the most of it already. If you GPU is overclocked as well, power management is of course for system preformance and you tweaked what setting you choose to have on, there is not a whole ton left to you for options. I think you know what settings work and don't work for you.

AT LEAST ON LOW SETTINGS YOU CAN BE A HERO AND SNIPE ANYONE "HIDING" IN FOLIAGE. Seriously.

Fixed that sentence for you :) . The FX series have some issues but Ryzen works fine.

A tiny bit lower on the gpu might work i use a 960m, run 50fps low with 1 or 2 medium
Disable your Steam Overlay for Squad and you'll see a dramatic improvement.
