Nvidia users check Geforce Experience Highlights is disabled?
I found that this new-ish option that auto captures in game Highlights(as the name suggests) keeps auto enabling (for me at least) and impacts on performance so might be worth checking yourself if its negatively impacting performance.

Do yourself a favour and uninstall geforce experience. Best thing I ever did.

Indeed. You can turn all those features off in settings. Did it as soon as they came out.

Why i am saying this is because i use the Geforce Instant Replay feature so i can capture the last 30 seconds of gameplay, this gives about a 5-7% GPU performance hit which is fine.
However i noticed the Geforce Highlights(different) enabling itself when i have disabled it and THIS causes unacceptable hits to performance.
So maybe check and make some gains because i see endless threads on poor performance in V10.1 so something else to check might help someone?
