What is your opinions on this? I dont think its too op because you have to get SUPER close and i dont think its insta kill is it? I see some players try to run and charge to people but i think thats just because its new

Why knives? So we can process cardboard and open packages? I don't want that kind of realisim in a game.

It depends on where you get stabbed whether its an insta or not. Ive already seen some folks in my squad sneak in a flank in the middle of a gun fight and cut up some enemies who are too busy shooting to hear footsteps. I like the options it gives us.

Oh here we go! Didn't take long to moan about a knife option which would be used when you creep up behind an enemy camping or just sitting out looking at the horizon.

Knife is a great addition!

ok there seems to be athing that your guy automaticly takes out his knife when you shoot someone who is in melee range... just happend to a guy in my squad and ive seen it happen to an enemy who was trying to kill me... it didnt work and he died instead. this seems to be a feature not a bug but i dont know what the point is... it only gets you killed and if you really want to kill someone using your knife you could just get it out manually.

XD i think because of the nature of this game tho knife wont give people an edge, just some fun and a last resort when digging fobs

I think it should be instakill to the back. I've killed two people because I heard their knife stab me in the back, and died once trying to stab someone else.

This isn't CSGO and it isn't realistic. When you pull out a knife you don't drop all your gear, do you?

but then solider wear body armor and we dont want a knife fest for CQB room clearing so, just aim for the head, everything to the head in this game is a insta kill so I assume knifes do too

I don't really like the fact knife have been added in Squad.
I don't think it's realistic at all.
I don't know about American and British armies, but in French army, we don't have a knive, and certainly not to fight with, this is not in the soldier package.
Also, we do not have training either to fight in war with a knife.
I guess that is just to attract people from the other games such as those how it's called already? uhh, euhh.... let me remember, oh yea counter strike right? and stuff like that?
Business choice i guess.
But hey, what do i know ;)
It's just my opinion as random than anyone's else.
I will still use it if i come in the back of someone who didn't saw me ahah :D
Even doh if i repeat, i don't like the fact it has been integrated in the game :-(

People going for knife kills in most games just end off beeing easy pickings. Hope it doesn't get too crazy.

Aside from that, I think its rather pointless. The only benefit of a knife would be to silently dispatch off someone. But since people are just gonna call out to their squad when they get stabbed, there really is no point to it.
