New Faction
Who will it be?

I personally would like to see another middle eastern faction, but one a bit more advanced. Like the MEC (Middle Eastern Coalition) faction in BF2. I believe their is two new maps that are located in the middle east that are coming soon for squad. So I hope their will be a themed MEC type faction to play on the new maps.

Also I think with the new helicopters coming OWI could use the Mi-8 for the MEC faction! Just a thought.

Something from south asia, germany, or south africa would really help with weapon diversity. Really anything that will increase the weapon diversity. It would be rather silly to add another faction with russian equipment, since we have 3 factions like that.

Israel and a paramilitary like Hezbollah would be tight, maybe a south lebanon map to go along with them too

Yeah maybe China but the current maps arent really appropriate for them

Israel would be fun, they have some cool infantry weapons and the Merkava Tank is a beast.

The Marder has got a 20mm autocannon - not sure if there is any vehicle that mounts a 50mm autocannon, none i know of - the swedish IFV has a 40mm Bofors, but the Marder mounts smaller caliber.
The Marder 2 mounts a 50mm autocannon.

Ok, right - but it was never produced, only one prototype exists in a museum in Koblenz.
Doesn't mean it can't be put in a video game! What we want is diversity in equipment right? You have to admit that you would want to use an IFV with a 50mm autocannon.

From what i was reading about the Marder 2 just now it would be totally OP^^ but, yeah - sure would be cool, but probably not good for balance.
I agree that I would be OP for an IFV, but that can always be helped with availability, ticket count, and respawn times.
