Fire mode preferences...
Hello all, I have 140hrs ingame, and after a while, I have developed these fire mode preferences for each gun.

M4a1 w/ ACOG--semi auto (mainly long range shooting, precision)
M4a1 w/ red dot--full auto (close range, 2-3 round busts mid range)
all AK/AMD/PE/--full auto (slow rate of fire. tap shooting long range, spray up close)

Does anyone agree with this, or do you all change your firemods whenever you see enemies?
Cheers

As of lately I've been changing up how I play and have been doing much better because of it. I now use semi-auto fire about 95% of the time when I'm playing unless I'm running an LMG

Semi-auto for 100% of the time

Single shots in automatic mode sounds like a burst of 3-4 shots.

It's good for adding noise if you want to screw with the other team's head but it's lame and cheesy from a game development standpoint. Please fix this.

Recoil is also increased when firing a single round with the weapon on full-auto. Something to keep in mind.

Semi-auto almost all of the time, absolutely hate the kickback of the AKs (though I guess it is to offset their heavier punch).

Full auto is wonderful on the iron sight M4A1 with the fore-grip.

Probably like that one and the SKS the most. Granted, I should probably try to get some burst fire practice to potentially make full auto viable.
I use Semi mostly for long-medium range targets (some shorts ones aswell) and Auto in situations that are close quarters. Every player has a different play style so u just have to find urs

Semi for any contact outside 50m, short bursts on auto for 15-50m and full blown auto 0-15m.

I feel like some of my bullets dont register fully auto so that way by just shooting semi I know if my aim is just potato.

I like running around hip fire automatic sometimes with the m4/vert grip for close battlles

I noticed that the spread is all over the place in full auto, so it's easy to miss

Once we see weapon resting, I'm sure full auto wil me more feasable, but until then I find semi auto in almost all cases. Might do full auto with the AK or M249 in CQC, really depends though.

I always play with the switch on full-auto to stay flexible and im doing fine. (20+ frags in almost every match). You can balance the higher recoil (it's really not that much) with the mouse easily.

I tend to switch game modes constantly. I'm walking around in a building, better put it on auto, gonna check out the window for targets, gonna put it on semi. Of course I come into situations I'm in the wrong fire mode constantly.
