Well if you're joining half empty server why the hell do you even need this feature? My point was it would choke up the queue's for full and popular servers with large queues.
Your talking about the network connections, which I agree P2P is awful. But you dont need a P2P system to add in a pregame squad lobby. Battlefield is an example of this. Both Private and Official servers not P2P connection and they have pre game squads. Its not hard to do. Wont change the way squad runs and all it will do is add in a much needed, IMO, system for playing with friends.
This game is called Squad, pretty much requires people to own a mic and communicate and claims to be extremely teamwork oriented, but has no simple feature to prepare your own squad before joining a server, even games like R6:Siege and CS:GO have such a simple game mechanic/feature.
By defending every single negative the developers have made, you are not really making the game any better. The game is still in development and missing features and failures need to be pointed out and fixed, as simple as that. This is the whole point of a early access/ beta.
One should not be required to join discord, teamspeak or whatever to keep his squad organised, this should be part of the game already, as it claims to be, what it claims to be.
And stop coming up to compare Squad to mainstream games which mostly have a toxic playerbase and use this as a reason against such a nice and easy feature.
It would make many things more easy and organised. It is that simple.
No, read my entire post.
How is this even an issue for you guys? You literally just tell your friends what server you are in then team up... All pre-game squads are gonna do is throw off team balance, bulk up the queue more, and you're assuming 1 squad might have enough room for you all to join together cause "Party Leader" is gonna be picking the squad you're all joining and if not it all becomes completely redundent because you'll all just to go through the same squad joining process that's already in game.
There are entire groups of people that have no problem joining servers and teaming up.
Its so annoying having to find a server, then tell your friend/s and some cant find the server etc etc it becomes full. Then you have to restart the whole damn thing again. And the Steam Join option hardly ever works. All i want to see is a simple Squad party manager where you can add friends, and all join together on a server with space..... please.
