The S-5 rocket pod on the techie sucks, give it S-8 / S-13 rockets instead.
Currently the rocket pod you see on the white Technical is a 55mm rocket called the S-5, they're crap IRL and they're uber crap ingame. Aiming isn't my issue, damage and AOE is my issue with them. They land right next to you and you'll be very unlikely to die, as I have learned on Jensen's Range by spawning right inside the splash zone.

"S-5 rockets were used extensively by Sukhoi Su-25 and Mil Mi-24 aircraft in Afghanistan in the 1980s, where their effectiveness was considered poor. Pilots described the rockets fanning out after launch "like a tulip", and that the warhead was only good for "tickling the dookhi's (mujahedeen) heels". The Russian forces have shifted to higher-calibre weapons like the S-8 rocket instead."

The S-8 is an 80mm rocket with pods carrying 20 rockets, the S-13 is a sexy 122mm rocket with pods carrying 5 rockets. Both weapons systems of which have been reported to see use on improvised rocket artillery technicals. (Those are probably as strong as the INS IED's if they were airborne and came in salvos of 5).

-But yeah, it needs a buff, it's a useless vehicle since its not even good for destroying emplacements, (I tested that too).

I'd like to see it get a better launcher, and to see the US get the stryker with the mortar mod to it, a 120mm. Up the cost on mobile artillery platforms, make them a valuable but costly asset
how about just remove the arming distance so we can just drive up real close to enemy infantry, vehicles, or FOBs and just lay down some chaos. is it too much to as for direct fire on Al basrah buildings?

right now a mortar + logi makes rocket techie completely useless as of now.

Yeah these useless things sit at main base for decoration, I mean it's either they get buffed so they are actually relevant.
Because right now they're only used as last ditch transports that can only hold (what 3-4 people?) as the armament is completely useless. I mean, its either buff them or replace them with a transport techie that can hold more people, since transport is what they're essentially being used for anyway.

The saddest thing about the rocket techie is the rockets are far weaker than mortars, yet far more theatrical with the screen shaking on impact being more intensified than the mortars are. All that work on the theatrics deserves S-8 rockets at the least.
The spread of the rockets means that even when the distance is properly calculated, you're likely to miss, so the re-arm at main should take less time instead of 120 missisippi seconds.
Perhaps it would be cool if INS got a considerably stronger rocket techie, but as a trade-off lost the ability to build mortars.
Asymmetric warfare.
At the very least I think aiming these things needs to be redone. I tried aiming once and it felt like a dangerous guessing game even with a competant spotter. Unless you seriously invest in a FOB to fire these things and have a crew that knows how to use them, they're almost useless. I've had times where they hit on target against me and they were more scary than lethal - I've been directly hit by these things and nothing would happen, only rarely have I been wounded. I typically see people just ignoring them since their accuracy is terrible and the costs of using them are simply not worth the time. Mortars are far easier to use and at this rate I think we're gonna see people using rocket techies even less.

I'm pretty sure those are too long range. I'm talking about instead of having the techie with the S-5 (55mm) rockets, put an S-8 (80mm) rocket pod on them. The rocket pod looks almost the same.
