Squad
Easy Anti Cheat Not Installed Error
Reinstalled Squad today to play the new update, previously I've had no problems with the game whatsoever. I try to launch the game from Steam, the EAC launcher pops up and loads to 100, then I get an error that says EAC isnt installed and im forced to close back to desktop. Tried launching the EAC installer from the game folder and it doesn't do anything. Tried verifying integrity and reinstalling, still nothing. Tried running the game as admin, no effect. I even try to install a separate game that runs EAC just for the pure chance that it does something, and while that game works Squad still gives me the same error. I'm out of clues and I can't find anything online or in Steam forums that would solve this. Any help would be much appreciated.

i found that rolling back to a beta allowed me to start the game however i couldn't play because no servers show, rolling forward to present put me back into the same situation. also if you install the public test server and launch the eac installer from the pts files you can install eac for game 55 (squad) however it doesn't change the situation and continues to say that eac is not installed

1) Right-click Squad in your Steam library, and click on Properties.
2) Go to the LOCAL FILES tab, and click on Browse to open your Squad install directory.
3) Delete the EasyAntiCheat folder.
4) Go back to your Steam client, and go back to the Properties window, and the LOCAL FILES tab.
5) Click Verify integrity of game files.
6) Steam should now detect and download the missing EAC installation.
