Oddly enough, I seem to have also found a workaround to my woeful FPS issue. After launching the game, I need to toggle between fullscreen, to borderless then back again and boom! 60fps.
At least it's not a complete lost cause pending a patch :)
that is super weird..
I don't have any software to monitor individual core load on my CPU, however it certainly seems like something in the game code isn't utilizing my CPU/GPU very well. Neither CPU or GPU ever get anywhere near full load when playing, yet my FPS tanks. My specs are in the original post and the game should really be running at 60fps in 1440p on that setup. Bring on the optimization :)
So what exactly did you have to do to fix the Fatal Error by UE4? Can you tell us the process in steps, please?
