Unreal engine crash (possibly fixed) UPDATED

Hi,

I am still having the unreal engine crash, I have gave up trying to play this game. Almost everyday i try something new and nothing works. Does anyone have a fix for this yet that i am not finding? I do not want to switch to something else.

UPDATE: running amd graphics card rx480, installed last driver update then reinstalled new update. 2 sessions 3 games 0 issues so far. UPDATE- Have played about 10 games on many servers sense reinstalling updates on graphics card. Zero issues so far.

OCTOBER 2019: I now have the crash again. No longer working in anyway.

Nov 2019: I can play once again but still getting unreal engine crash. I have played around and the only time i get the crash now is when i sit at the faction select screen for too long and do nothing, it crashes every time.

Yeah, wtf do we do to fix this, happens to me some nights more than others. however, im getting it on a 4790k w/ rtx 2060 super but had the same issue before with the gtx 970 ftw

Have you tried to update your drivers for the graphics card? or go to a previous update then go back to the most recent? That is what fixed it for me. I have not had a crash after that. Knock on wood.

may have fixed it. i installed squad on another drive (had it on C:, deleted reinstalled on D:). Removed all traces of the game from D: drive and reinstalled on the original drive (C:). Did the whole %localappdata% deletion bit and cleared cache...yada yada. so far no crash, fingers crossed.

scratch that, after 2 sessions the game has now began to crash at random times with the same Unreal Engine error.

Do you have steam on C: drive and then games on D: drive? I personally install steam etc. on the my C: then games and everything else onto the D: drive. I do not know if it could work but just what i have and i am still playing every day almost since i made this thread without issue. I also before doing so did a complete manual uninstall of steam, squad etc. I then re installed it all. Tested the game and had a crash right away. I then did the graphics drivers. No issues since. Before all that i tried everything i could, localappdata the clear game cache all kinds of things.

Also have not talked to anyone that has had devs help them yet. But if there is a fix or devs are talking and working with people to fix this crash i really hope they speak up to make it more public so all of us who have not enjoyed the game for weeks or months.. are not in the dark any longer.

Still having the random Unreal Engine crash plus the dozens of Server Connection closes. Don't bother with support either, I contacted them and they just directed me to EAC who haven't replied in nearly 2 weeks now.

I also have a AMD card, a RX 570, and after the patch (before this chopper patch) it become absolute hell. I have also tried just about everything on Squad's site, through google searches and anything else I can thing of, nothing helped.

I just don't get why neither of them don't respond to the problem more, when tons of people are having these two issues. It has been ongoing since late 2017 as well, so it isn't a new issue for Squad.

I can no longer play either. Issue is back. No help so far.

glad im not the only one having problems it crashes and restarts my pc and im using an amd rx590 total joke have tried driver rollbacks and resets and cant get in game for more than 15 mins..........................
