Squad.exe - Application Error

Started having this issue after update. reinstalled the game twice and finally was able to login. Played 2 different times and went to go back in yesterday and got the error again.

The error is Squad.exe Application error (0xc0000142). I noticed someone else having this errer on here but the code was different for mine. Really need help so i can play the game again!

Try to delete everything inside the folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Squad\Squad\Binaries\Win64

except the suqad.exe and steamappid.txt
restart and it should work

Nope did not work. Deleted 2 other files that were in there and restarted my whole pc. Started squad and still get same error.

ReShade has been banned.
Your error code listed is the same as in the link that you will get for using it.

Ok knew nothing about this. Heard of reshade but had no clue what it was. How do you remove it cause it is certainly not something I use?

Yep looked every where and find nothing. I do not use reshade or have ever installed anything. Is it something to do with nvidia or anything? Can not find any helpfule info. And the squad page that talks about reshade does not say much about what it is or how to get rid of it.

Nope verifying game files did not work either. I guess I just have to wait and hope they find a fix for this or something. Can not play the game posibly because of a reshade thing I do not even have.

Are you launching it from within Steam? I know if I make a shortcut and put Squad on my taskbar it gives me an error when I try starting it.

Yea I run all my steam games from the steam library.

Still not able to play squad. Gets very frustrating when you can not play a game you have. Especially when you never had problems with it before!

I'm having same issue. Didn't even know of Reshade untill this post, and searching for anything of it's likes on my drives give me nothing.

I was able to play fine up until last time I played aprox. 2 weeks ago, and now this.

Hope something looks into this.

Actuall, one result came up after a while. Patience was required. Will try to remove it somehow later.

UPDATE: It worked.
Deleted the Nvidia Reshade file above and rebooted. Launching form within the Steam app library failed, but going through my desktop shortvcut now works perfectly.

No none of that stuff worked gor me. Still get the same error every time I try and launch Squad. do not have reshade or any progrm that does it. So the squad page with reshade info does not help at all because all it says is unistall reshade. Does not say anyhting for people who are getting hit with the error without reshade.
