If you've unplugged and put back your mic at any point. You need to make sure Nvidia geforce experience has not defaulted mic source to 'digital input'
Alt-Z from desktop
settings
audio
change mic input.
I have a xlr mic plugged in for my input
and a wireless usb plugged in for my output
the game can only reconize one unit which is my usb mic so thats why no one can hear me through my xlr mic.
sucks but maybe squad doesnt even know that this is an issue.
Did you find a fix? Because I'm having the same problem.
Sound is coming through just fine, mic works on everything else, the menu option recognizes the mic, but Squad just doesn't work for some reason.
This is seriously game breaking..
Under your STEAM FRIENDS list goto SETTINGS... this is different than your regular steam engine settings.
Steam Friends list
on the left look for VOICE
Voice input device - select your microphone.
For some reason it was set to default and once I selected my microphone it now works in Squad.
Hope this helps anyone who needs it!
