Steam is currently offline

Ingame, it says "Steam is currently offline" in a red font. Therefore i can't see any servers and can't even play training.

Steam is definitly online.

Anyone know how to fix that?

I had the same issue this morning (played fine lastnight and logged off) and fixed it within 5 minutes of investigating what was wrong.

Here are the exact steps I took:

1) I had my game open with the Steam is Offline in red; so I reset my cache in the game
2) I right clicked the steam icon and hit exit (but it wouldn't shut down on its own; which was odd)
3) I opened the task manager CTRL + ALT + DEL and terminated Steam bootstrap + Steam VR compositor and everything else relating to steam.
4) I opened Steam and for some unknown reason logged me into OFFLINE mode, so I clicked Steam > Go Online (Edit: This happened to me again but this time I was ONLINE)
5) Started Squad and then instantly Steam is Currently Offline [RED] switched to Steam is Currently Online [GREEN]

Now I'm going to play! :) Issue was a first... very weird- but those are the exact steps I took to fix it fast and hope it helps solve it for you guys.

Thanks for the info but did not work for me. I can paly it on my laptop and not my deskstop that the strange part.

A friend fixed this by updating the "Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager". The process came preinstalled when he bought his PC.

Do the following:

1. Make sure Steam is online - Open steam > Click "Steam" Tab to see if it's online or offline

2. Check if you are in 'Steam Beta Participation' - Open steam > Click "Steam" Tab > Go to 'Settings' > In Accounts, Opt out of Beta Participation

3. If both of steps failed to fix the issue, Open 'command Prompt' as Admin Type "netsh winsock reset" and enter. Then type "ipconfig /flushdns". After that, Reboot the PC.

All that is really necessary is that you restart steam completely. That should solve the issue.

Yeah restarting steam fixed it for me but you have to completely close it and anything related to it with task manager.

I got the same issue but do not succed to fix it.
Steam is online, but the game tell me is offline anyone got an ip of squad servers to let me test if is not a network trouble ?
