USB MIC Failing

I use a USB headset with mic.

Only in Squad, once about every 10 matches, the mic itself fails. I can still hear throug my headphones but I can no longer talk on LOCAL or RADIO. I am keying up, but nothing is transmitting.

Windows tells me the mic is operational when I ALT TAB out of game.

I check that my bindings are good.

Not sure whats up, but only in Squad does this happen.

Had the same thing happen to me just now. Stopped working completely, icon lights up, nothing sends. Continues even after resetting the game. No indication of what triggers it, just decided to stop for some reason.

Not sure if this is helping with USB Mics aswell...but you can try it out!

1. Go to your Sound Settings ---> Recording Devices
2. Right click on your active microphone ---> Properties ---> Advanced
3. Check if the option "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" is active.
4. If it is active ---> deactivate option


Also make sure that your Mic is the default Mic in the Steam Settings!
