Download Speeds

Anyone else getting horrible download speeds for Squad?

Any other game, the Steam servers give me the maximum speed my connection is capable of.

But if I download Squad, it peaks at around 150 kb/s...and most of the time is crawling along at <50 kb/s, which is just ridiculous.

I am not really sure that is anything to do with Squad since it goes through steam. I bet it's your internet connection, bet it would do the same with other games.

Personally I have steam sometimes do that with me and I restart it and it works but that may be a placebo.

Mine downloaded pretty quick. I get RIDICULOUSLY slow download speeds for specific games (like Rust). I have to wonder if devs can't pay Steam for faster downloads.

As I said, it's not the connection, as three other games download at full speed without issue, so yes, it is indeed Squad.

try to change the country of your steam download servers in steam settings

I HAVE BUY TOOO XD jet and i Downloading it 8-10 mb by steam its so slow i mean normal i Downloading like 23-25 mb

Just started downloading squad, and I have the same problem as you guys, peaking at around 7mb/s, at an average of 5mb/s

Squad has always had a super hard time downloading. The updates are even worse. It isn't your internet, it isn't steam, its just how OWI package and update their video game. Welcome to the game, this problem won't go away.
