I feel your frustration man, I'm in the same boat. A format is the only thing that's going save my sanity.
Soooooooooo, sorry for the late, but reinstalling W7 SP1 manually fixed the issue for me. :bandit:

Weird thing because i already had it before... But yeah, don't give up mates!

I have just installed updates for my windows 10 and it's now all up to date and I still have the same issue as all others above

Ok this was how i fixed it: If you have windows 7 go control pannel> windows updater > and then click important updates. You will need to tick every update that has "framework" or " c++" in it. Aswell as ticking windows 7 sirvace pack one.

Ok, I have windows 10 and this what fixed it for me -> uninstall the redist.x64 and x86 from Steam\steamapps\common\Squad\_CommonRedist\vcredist

And install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 from here -> https://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Make sure windows updates are all up to date as well.

As a last ditched effort before I format, I decided to clean up my C:\ drive and installed the last few Win 8.1 updates.

Tried Squad again, and what do you know, now I can install the Visual C++ x64 installer without any issues :D

The game runs smooth, upon exiting though, it did crash with a B.E.X.64 error, but at least it works with all Win updates applied. Anyhow, time for me to load Win 10, here's hoping the game still runs afterward :)

how to fix?

Formatted my PC with Win 10, ran Squad and it's working first time :)

To anyone with this error, ensure that you download all relevant Windows updates, that will fix your problem.

Okay I have a fix, it works for me, go to your squad install folder
steamapps\common\Squad\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015

and run 1 of the vc_redist.x64 or x86 depending on what you use
than when it asks for repair or uninstall click uninstall

when thats done just install it again from one of the files in
steamapps\common\Squad\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015

Doesn't work for me... :(

thx it worked...i just installed steamapps\common\Witch Hunt Demo\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015 again and it worked :D
