I know this is a dead thread, but it looks like your question was never answered. Games are cheaper in Russia because of how their economy is set up. Russians make less money than people in other countries, but at the same time, everything in Russia is cheaper. Their economy is set up so that they can export goods easier. They have achieved this by lessening the value of their currency (the ruble). Many other nations like Japan, China, Taiwan, and India have done the same thing so that they can export goods easier. The bottom line is; Russian stuff is cheaper because Russians make less money.

Games that include the US and Russia are a breeding groud for poltics. Treating a player diffrently because he is an ethinc Russian is wrong, and im sure most of the community will not engage in that. The angery some players feel towards Russia has to with a langue plus culture disconect. Most Players in western Europe speak English, when in Germany servers i will speak German if the sqaud im playing in is. But i genral speak English so every one can understand, many Russians do not. Russian culture also does not put the same enphasis on fair play compared to in the EU. This is why hacks dispositional come from Russian players.

The Reason games are cheaper in Russia is because many Russians do not have disposable income. The avagrae wage in Russia is 500 us a month. If devs keept the price the same only the upper management of Gazprom would be able to aford it.
