Insurgency game mode.
I've been somewhat confused by the latest tutorial video describing game modes featured in Squad right now.

"As each cache is overrun and destroyed, another one spawns in a random location on the map".

So, does this mean that both starting caches need to be destroyed in order for another one to spawn, or only one of them?

AFAIK, and I have limited time in Insurgency, it's one.

I don't know, but in the game Insurgency the caches randomly spawn at the start of a round and do NOT magically spawn back in another location in that SAME round! That's just daft.

In this game they do, destroy one, and another spawns, or at least it's location becomes visible on the map to both sides until you destroy all of them. The cache might actually be there beforehand, I don't know.

In PR the BLUFOR team needs intel. points by killing insurgents to get the location (the never get the exact location - i think 50 - 100m deviation) of new caches. I don't really know if it's the same in Squad (you can search the official squad forums forums.joinsquad.com ).

Thanks, but I've already searched through the forums and read the manual.

While in PR all the chaches are spawned at the same time (I hope I'm not mistaken), in Squad only two caches spawn at the start of each round (as written in the manual).

There are 2 caches at the start and then allways a new one for every cache that gets destroyed untill 4 caches have been destroyed in total.

This game mode sounds exactly like the popular Arma 2 ACE mod Insurgency. Had some good times playing that.

Insurgency is a great mode. Unfortunately most players don't seem to play it properly at the moment, with US teams being rather stupid with standing off and engaging at a distance, and with insurgents often being too defensive. I can't believe the stupid squad leaders I get who like to telegraph their squad movements, and have an RoE that allows for people to be firing whenever they want. Insurgency (much more than AAS) requires squad based tactics. I use smoke as a diversion (specifically using my GL launchers to give the indication we could be elsewhere, or moving there) and only when under fire.. I disallow engagements unless my guys have guaranteed kill shots (no reason telling everyone where we are as we have limited tickets and insurgents don't)
