K/D ratio is irrelevant, every player will die a lot, good players will die less but the number of kills is something the whole team must contribute towards. Personally I would like to see individual stats removed.

This isn't Counter Strike.

Does this game even keep track of persistent stats? You see kills and deaths for like 30 seconds at the end of a round.

I would like to see them add a stat for teammates healed for medics.

Indeed, having the kills on show actually hurts teamwork, with players opening fire as soon as they see the enemy, instead of calling out contact bearing and range and waiting for the SL to decide what to do.

The kill score acts as a reward mechanism for selfish players.

I like the stats because they are useful to me. Lets me know how effective my grenade placement is, or how I do in certain roles compared to others, etc...

I think the comprimise between not showing them at all, is to just have them private. You see your own kills/deaths after a match, but you can't view anyone elses, just the squad total.

Showing only 'squad kills' is a great suggestion and good compromise, I still think personal kill stats should be removed as they will act as a motivational tool for selfish player even if they are visible only to him, squad is meant to be a bit more realistic than average shooter, I don't know how many soldiers in the real world know for sure how many enemy they killed.

yeah i followed the streams and noticed some people grieving others thats why i came up with this weird question i noticed that this KD behaviour of some people could ruin the game for the others in the Team. I hope they find a way to stigmatise such playstile so your urged to correct your playstile and be a helpful asset in a team! I found this could be the only flaw i see in the game yet! absolute correct tyvole !

These suggestions shoud be placed onto official forums since i think many people woud like them.

This is a topic that has been much discussed on the OWI forums over the past year. Persistent stats seem likely, you also probably won't see more than you see in a match than what you see now.

No one cares sometimes I drop 22 and rarely die sometimes I die alot...its a game about teamplay...I rarely check the leaderboard anymore as all that matters is if you win or not

And even loosing is fun so meh...its just an amazing game

If we really want to foster teame work, instead of indival stats... how about Squad Effectivness Stats = have all individual stats within a squad added up???

That is actually how it is ingame?

Oh you dont own it so yeah

All points are combined into a squad score
Sarblade Jan 1, 2016 @ 3:30pm
Fortunately it doesn't "keep" the stats and probably never will, but it shows at the end of the match. On the forum is even discussed to remove it.

It's a useless feature to normal players, but decent one for squad leaders (so they can check the squad efficency).

We will be tracking stats andmaking them available to players in the future. Also scoring points will change alot and be much more oriented around teamwork actions.

Just all stuff in the pipeline.

cheers!

But it's kind of cool to not know if you kill anyone during the game because then it builds more suspense if you are approaching an area like, I'm not sure I shot at him guess we will find out proceed with caution so it makes gameplay more realistic and I like that. It's more of a combat experience rather then just a get kills and see how well I do as a individual.
Ya, exactly, the large and beautifully designed maps mean that quite often you can't be sure if you killed that guy, this is one of the key contributing factors as far as the games unique atmosphere and the sense of tension it generates is concerned, if they ever add a way for players to know if they just killed that guy or not ... ya, Squad will instantly become half the game it is.

The answer is no. If you bought the game, play it however you want. Nobody can say otherwise.
