I hope you've also updated your drivers, Windows, etc.
Head to /Steam/steamapps/common/Squad/_CommonRedist and click DirectX and find the install and reinstall. Go back and head into the other folder credist/2015/ and reinstall!
A fatal error is usually caused by not having Visual C++ installed.
Make sure you have Net Framework installed.
It could also be your graphics card driver, perhaps rolling back to an earlier version is worth a try but im doubting that will fix anything.
My final thoughts is that you have a corrupt copy somehow, and need to verifying the game files, worse case scenario reinstall the game.

ATI r9 390 8gb gpu
intel i7 5820k six core- @4.5ghz
8gigs DDR4 Ram @ 2400
and yes i was so desperate i reformatted windows lmao...
Do you have a PCI soundcard? Are your motherboard drivers up to date, especially your sound drivers if it's really crashing on VOIP? GPU driver?
Does it always say dwm.exe in the error report?
