lol I need someone to send me a .DLL

really bummed! this game seems epic, but i cant play more than 40seconds without a crash to desktop with the stupid Fatal error message. Ive tried everything, ive posted on the games actual forum aswell as here. No success, please if anyone has any ideas let me know. I think i know what the issue is. In my crash log it always says

so i think i need a dwm.exe and a dwmcore.dll

not sure why or how but i think these are my issues

You don't need a DLL for that, it's the desktop window manager. I think you can disable it actually, might be worth a try if you've tried things like verifying Squad's cache, etc.

I don't even know what version of Windows you're running but it turns out that you might not be able to disable it in 8.1 and 10.

I hope you've also updated your drivers, Windows, etc.

dwmcore.dll is your SYS32 files which you shouldn't mess with or replace!

Head to /Steam/steamapps/common/Squad/_CommonRedist and click DirectX and find the install and reinstall. Go back and head into the other folder credist/2015/ and reinstall!

A fatal error is usually caused by not having Visual C++ installed.
Make sure you have Net Framework installed.

It could also be your graphics card driver, perhaps rolling back to an earlier version is worth a try but im doubting that will fix anything.

My final thoughts is that you have a corrupt copy somehow, and need to verifying the game files, worse case scenario reinstall the game.

If you've really reinstalled Windows and the problem persists, surely it must be a hardware problem. Maybe an issue with your soundcard, especially since you mentioned VOIP crashing the game, I think.

i have 64bit, and also i think its voip crashing the game, its hard to tell really. it just seems like while people are talking my game crashes. but i have noticed sometimes it will randomly crash as soon as it launches. Like before i even join a server. so im not sure anymore whats going on. and as for a hardware problem, that maybe it. But this pc is brand new and only bought nice parts for it.

PC SPECS:

ATI r9 390 8gb gpu
intel i7 5820k six core- @4.5ghz
8gigs DDR4 Ram @ 2400

Yeah, you have a better PC than me, you should be running this game pretty well.

Do you have a PCI soundcard? Are your motherboard drivers up to date, especially your sound drivers if it's really crashing on VOIP? GPU driver?

Does it always say dwm.exe in the error report?
