Squad is more action but realistic, you can still be sneaky. Maps are much smaller
Oh my god * | you're* | it's* | I * | play *
Guess nobody taught you capitals either,
Inbefore - "Oh my god, grammar nazi" nah just don't insult someone if you can't even string a sentence together.

For the actual OP.
Arma is a walking simulator, in many cases (950+ hours here.) and I can happily tell you that it takes a long time getting into fire-fights and such, requires a lot more to function and overall is as Skoowy said "Harder". It is a great game if you take the time to understand it all and play it, it's wonderful regardless what game-mode you play.
Squad, (70ish hours) was / still kinda is a walking simulator. I said 'was' because vehicles are now into play. But still can be abit of a walk regardless but it's insanely different and a lot quicker to travel from POINT A to POINT B. Again going off what Skoowy said "Maps are much smaller" and they are, hence why it's quicker.
For you I'd recommend SQUAD for all of this, sure ARMA does have this but not as much as you'd get from SQUAD. To play squad you need a working microphone, it's that simple. Don't have it and you'll find yourself having a hard time within squads, communciation is key, listen to your squad leader and his orders and you'll be alright. You'll get up close and personal, others you'll sneak around and choke them and such. It's different to all squad leaders and changes all the time, over time you can become your own and do what you please or is right.

SQUAD at the moment is suffering from a few issues (Haven't encounted them) such as FATAL ERROR'S here and there, random stutters and FPS drops here and there and just over-all performance issues. If you run AMD I believe you can forget SQUAD as they're having HUGE problems (Someone correct me if they've fixed this.) If you run intel you should be alright. I say "Should" because also depends on other specs (GC,RAM etc)
My personal opinion I'd go with squad.
If you're wondering "But you only have 70ish hours on that and 950+ on arma" it's because Arma has been out for a lot longer, and I took a break from SQUAD for a bit (1/2 months) and I'm now slowly coming back into it (and miss it more than I've missed ARMA when I took breaks from it) so 100% squad.
Hope this helps man. :)
because the less meony the devs make means postive thigns for the game
What the f u c k is this?
"In short I have no clue as to what the F_uk (<- WHAT IS THIS? ♥♥♥♥?) your post is asking"
The title is - SQUAD or ARMA III? The question mark should give it away, he's asking if he should either get Squad or arma. The fact that you started that whole mess-of-text with "Hello as I look at your profile your in CS playing @ this moment and Not in Squad" CLEARLY because he doesn't have squad, he's asking the community if he should buy it or ARMA III.
Guess you didn't read, or even understand a basic question. Plus what's with all these cancer ".............." in your text, you only need up to 3 to make a point. You've made no sense but made a block of huge text with cancer. And no, we're not his "Grand theft and your CS" we're his squad mates helping him make a decision.
Jesus, thanks for the cancer of text.
Try to just ignore 1stLt.REAPER, he regularly comes off like he's an idiot or rather touched in the head.
@OP
I think it depends on what specifically you're looking for. Arma 3 is much more indepth, has a TON of mods and a mission editor to create your own singleplayer or CO-OP missions on the fly or download ones created by others. The controls are much more complicated than SQUAD, but Arma can also do much more than SQUAD will be able to accomplish even after it's released.
I don't think SQUAD's strengths are in the realm of realism, as I believe it still feels like an arcade BF type shooter with the AAS and Insurgency game modes. It does however require communication and teamwork in and between squads to win a match. The audio communications system is pretty sweet and works great.
In SQUAD's simplicity, it's also easier to find a tacticool multiplayer match, because that's all there is. There won't be SP or CO-OP unless some modders create a mod for it. The developers intent is to focus solely on multiplayer. To that end, finding a match where a team actually works together to win, can be a toss up. Some matches the teamwork is rock solid, others are a fustercluck.
Since you seemingly want to snipe, you'd need to coordinate your efforts with a squad to help out. You can't just select a scoped rifle kit and head off on your own to lay in wait for the enemy. Lonewolfing will likely get you kicked from a squad by the Squad Leader. If kicked, your kit will automatically switch from whatever kit you had in the squad...to a basic rifleman kit. It's done that way to promote squad cohesiveness.
Squad is a arcade game that feels like a re-release of BF2 with limited gameplay/modes
You don't even own the game! Squad is far from arcade status
This is the opinion of someone stuck on a 6 1/2 year old game. Don't listen to him arma 3 isn't as great as people make it out to be.
He plays more arma 2 OA than arma 3 so what does that tell you?
Arma is a milsim.
Arma is a complete sandbox.
Arma is a mission editor
Arma is moddable.
Arma is a single player, multiplayer, coop, pvp.
Arma is network or lan.
Arma is an open world, various maps.
Arma is a huge arsenal.
Arma has a multitude of addons, mods.
Arma works with Track Ir.
Arma uses the Task Force Radio.
Etc. ...... .
Squad is even less complicated.
Squad is a simulation, not a milsim.
Squad is not a sandbox.
Squad will be moddable (maps yes, for vehicles going to be ♥♥♥♥).
Squad is a multi play.
Squad is not open world.
Squad is a limited arsenal.
Squad does not support the Track Ir.
arma 3 is really beautiful from the APEX upgrade.
We must change the files arma 3 to accommodate its PC configuration.
You will have a stable game and good fps.
Players on ragent fps know nothing about computers to set arma.
Arma 3 and squad are very good games but totally different, if you money buys both games.
otherwise I advise you arma 3 for more complete and varied as a whole.
Squad is more nervous, Squad is a game for players disappointed by the Battlefield license.
Squad is too expensive at the moment because it is empty of content, wait again, this is an alpha.
Squad will be nice in Beta Version in 1 year or 2 years, for now it is average and overpriced.
I love these two games.
This is just my opinion ; )
