forbidden tool detected: windows magnifier

Hey guys

Was just going to play some Squad tonight, played last night without any problems whats so ever.

Now i get "forbidden tool detected: windows magnifier" when i try to launch the game.
How, why and how do i fix it?
Never heard of it before. Googled it and it makes your screen larger or more zoomed in if you would like that.

What does it have to do with the game?

Anyways, how do i get rid of my error messege so i can play again?

same thing happens to me.

By going into task manager, the magnifier process "Error", i actually right click and and go to process and it eventually lead me to the Squad.exe in the binaries folder. I even tried to delete or rename the magnifier.exe and no luck at all. I also tried go into the control panel folder and ease of access, and untick magnifier. No good. i have no problems running squad yesterday. Until, i installed my Arma 3 and ran it this morning.

Tried something similar with ease of access but did not help, just reinstalled the game but the error is still there.

Anyone knows how to get rid if this?

I did experiment with different window modes lastnight, full screen and window mode. but the game worked fine then. no problems at all.

Apparently it could be the 'snipping tool'. Try disabling that.

I have no idea, it's just that some people in the Squad Discord channel were discussing this a few hours ago and it was the 'snipping tool' that caused it.

Wow,...so did some folks find a way to use the windows magnifier over the game display to essentially scope enemies?

Hope they come up with a way to fix it soon, would really like to play it some more.
On the other hand this is the first issue iv'e had with this game so far.

Im getting the same thing on windows 7 64 bit, wtf is this!. I've in task manager, disabled/stopped anything relating to screenshotting tools. still nothing!
