Why is there no or very little muzzle flash?
Has anyone else notice there is almost no muzzle flash? It's a little unrealistic when it comes to this. I should be seeing quite a bit more muzzle flash since there also no attachments.

There are flash hiders on the weapons.

What makes you think that's unrealistic?

My shooting experience I suppose, when we got shoot pig here in North Texas my AR-10 has quite the flash in low light especially. Now that's with a suppressor attachment. It's not just me that says that I always hear it in game as well.

Uh, by day, with muzzle brakes and so on... They really don't. The game already does a pretty good job representing what it actually looks like: a lot of gas being expelled, with the occasional tiny fireball.

for some people other games and movies represent the reality, never forget that cars dont explode in huge fireballs if you cut them in half with a katana while doing a sommersault ;)

Modern military gun powders use flash retardant. Coupled with flash hiders its vary hard to notice in day light. Now...with that said. Why when prone on the ground in loose dirt or sand do you not put dust/dirt/sand in a nice cloud when you fire? That is the thing in day light that more gives away your position.

a little, yes - maybe it depends on your graphics settings for effects ?

The muzzle flash in this game is realistic.

Yeaaaah, because you'd wan't a big old flash giving away you or your units exact positioning.

The older guns have the flash hider visually there, and as has been mentioned there is integrated systems and ammunition.
