Do APFSDS Shells (Sabo) have a standoff distance to fully achieve damage capability?

I have a question for the developers here. IRL sabot shells need a determined distance for the shell to shed its sabot case and achieve proper acceleration for armor piercing. Is anything like this modelled in the game for the tank munitions?

interesting....only thing I've run into is on some vehicles the weapon does nothing similar to arming distance on LAT and HAT.

ATGM's on vehicles have an arming distance, don't think sabots have a minimum range..

Fairly certain the bmp's do, the one with the big cannon not the pew pew one.

No tanks do not have this mechanic in the game.Would be kinda cool to see tho.There is a thing with tanks in touching distance that the shell does no damage if the barrel is inside the other vehicle(i guess since the hitbox is only outside of the tank and the projectile "spawns" at the end of the barrel).

Yes the BMP-1 has it because it fires a similar rocket projectile like the SPG-9.
