Night maps with nightvision

I'd love to have night maps added to the game with accurate night vision goggles! I think you could make some new ways to play the game like that. Stealth missions would be on a whole new level!

There are mods for this to tie you over for if/when they do this.
Check out the Fast Ropes mod. It doesn't just add Fast Ropes, but a nighttime map of Fool's Road with NVGs as well as Little Birds.

Would all players have night vision? Cos no way would I want to play a night map where other players have them and I'm stuck with squinting into the darkness. If everyone has them, then you're basically playing the game normally but everything is green.

squad is an asymetric game bud, at most you would get a flashlight or lower gen version of nods

I just don't see what it adds to the game, a map where visibility is massively lowered except for some players. Anyway there's asymmetry and there's just giving some players a big advantage over others.

Edit: there are already some dusk layers in the game, and in my limited experience everybody hates them.

Play on servers with "squad ops mod" active they have night maps with o activating night vision for tech advanced armies. usa russia canada.

although many already turn gamma up to negate the effect so its more of a novelty in game.

As much as I wanna see this, night maps are already useless. Tryhards crank their gamma, it's basically like playing the map at day, except there's no glare and things are slightly less saturated. I think it could be done, except with only a few squads having access to night vision and the rest relying on flares, flashlights, and natural light.
