game keeps changing resolution?
why doesn't it stay in 1080? after every loading screen it goes into some resolution that has more than half of the game outside of the monitor.

try pressing Alt+Enter,
that shouldnt be happening unless you have your Windows magnification turned up past 100%, in which case its not really supported.

i don't think i have any magnification on. i never messed with that. but when the game launches it is in 1080, then after the loading screen before the main menu it gets all messed up. aside from alt+enter i can also alt+tab out and back in, but then everything is really blurry, and it still says it is at 1080, then i just apply settings and it goes back to normal. problem is i have to do this every time, even before matches load. tab out, back in, apply already set settings.

might be corrupt setting file?
in the options there is a setting to delete your config, that would wipe it if its corrupt.

okay. i just tried that, cleared cached user data, re-set all my settings, re-launched, and it's still doing it. that didn't seemed to be the issue.

You could try making the gameusersettings.ini file read only after you get it at the right resolution, should stop the game changing it (and you, too). Bit of a hack though.

okay, after i found the .ini i changed these lines

ResolutionSizeX=1920
ResolutionSizeY=1080
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1920
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080

those were actually set to 1600 x 900, i then made the file read only, and started the game up, it completely froze, and i had to kill it with CMD. then i unchecked read only again, and now it is still changing resolution after loading. i don't get it.

okay i also tried to set

bUseDesktopResolutionForFullscreen=

from False to True, and it also didn't change a thing.

Maybe the game won't accept the file being read only, it was a guess really. I guess it doesn't help if you change to borderless?
Same here, im Downsampling 1440p to my 1080p screen and every time i click on setting/spawning the game changes to a lower res while trying to maintain the 1440p, the only ''fix'' ive found out is to alt tab and tab in again.

yea i did try borderless, but that messes with the game. it buggs the mouse out of the game window.

okay well i have no idea how to fix it or what is doing it. i will just leave my system specs here, and my game settings, and a short sh.itty off-screen video showing what's going on, in case a dev or so ever looks into this. it's not a super big issue but its kind of annoying.

specs:
win10
980ti sc
i7 7600k
16gb ram

settings:
1920x1080 (at least supposed to be)
vsync - off (using gsync)
AA - SMAA
SS - off
all other settings - epic
motion blurr- off
bloom - on
abient occlusion - on
eye adaption - on
lense flare - off

sh.itty video

okay, i found the issue. kind of a lame one. the game doesn't know which screen it should be on. because i have a gsync monitor connected via display port, and a tv connected via hdmi directly to the gpu. i don't use my tv for gaming, just movies. and i never had a game that had issues with that. but i guess squad doesn't like that.

You will have to unplug your HDMI before you start your computer, that works for me.
