So they don't have the capability for a local radio frequency... that's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ghetto
It just makes sense to have individual squad frequencies and then one local proximity frequency that it dials into in a set radius, if some guy is firing a 50 cal or an auto rifle you won't hear ♥♥♥♥, so to me it feels more like oversight as theres no way any army would make people have to shout over a gun to be heard... unless you know you work for north korea maybe.
No, no it really isn't. It's "realistic" for a person sitting in their house speaking at normal volume into a mic. But in a real life situation, you would be able to raise your voice quite a bit over the other noise. You can't just start yelling into a microphone, it doesn't work the same way.
All I said is we should have different radio channels, rather than having to mess with settings or whatever, meant to be realistic and this just seems like oversight as no way in hell would you be expected to shout over gunfire lol
you would use your fire team or squad chat.
although after talking to one of the devs who is a US Army Ranger he confirmed that most of the time it was indeed yelling.
I get it's realism but I really don't want to be forced to shout... you know... indoors haha
I usually am the SL lol
