Here's the "ammo point economy"
Ammo bag has 100 ammo points
Logi trucks can store up max 3000 ammo points (but often has Construction points that shares that 3000 max)
Pistol mag = 1
Rifle mag = 2
Bandage = 5
Grenade = 10
Light AT = 40
HAT US/GB = 80
HAT RU = 100
1. You spawn with enough ammo to last you for quite a while if you use it well.
2. You can rearm at most FOBs.
3. You can rearm at most vehicles.
4. You usually have 2-3 riflemen with ammobags in your squad and they can also refill their ammobags at FOBs and vehicles.
5. You can ask nearby players or talk to your squadlead so he can organize supplies.
Most of the time ammo is primarily important for anti tank, grenadiers and medics.
To sum it up:
IMHO the new ammo system works quite well and thanks to the ammobags and vehicle supplies, it even makes things easier than before in some cases. It just requires some planning ahead.
You can now quickly fire several LATs in the field by using ammo bags.
The only "negative" effect of the new system is that you no longer get a free resupply as reward for dying.
