Is there a way to practise base building?

I've been playing squad for a while but nearly always run as a medic trying my best to avoid being a squad leader the communication aspect is obviously an iffy one for most people but another aspect of the role which can be vital in matches is FOB construction and placement. To an extent you can kind of learn or judge these just from playing and watching what others do but people like me hate not being able to refine the craft to perfect our placement, layering and to find the small little places excellent for stealth FOBs, to find the best locations for the most glorious super FOBs and everything in between.

Is there a way in the signleplayer/firing range to switch to different maps and then have the ability to build without the need for other people?

If not why is there not?

In console, there is a way to switch maps once you load training.

Maps are rare, dont learn the map, you will spoil the fun of tactical improvisation.

Sadly I dont know of a way to "insta build" but, I believe there is a way to speed up time so shoveling goes faster. Prehaps this, AdminSlomo <TimeDilation> (Set the clock speed on the server. 0.1 is 10% of normal speed. 2.0 is twice the normal speed). Can't remember exactly may need to test it.

Super fobs are cancerous... Especially from new players. Get your fix in minecraft and in the meantime learn what other good SL's do. Then go from there.

Super FOBs have their use in Squad and that is the point of learning proper placement and refining your designs. Telling players go to other games is just a d1ck move -_- and not all players learn from monkey see monkey do. For most that might be fine for learning the basics even then in a match it's unlikely a squad leader is going to explain what they are doing and why and when questioned most will get defensive rather then answer reasoning, this community has a real problem with people asking questions. I am talking about refining your craft perfecting designs to withstand siege with minimal force needed to cover sight lines and to learn the maps the little caveats like murder holes, tunnels, elevation (multistory buildings), hills, etc... this crap you can't learn from minecraft. Map knowledge can only be gained so much from just playing the maps. "tactical improvisation" only works to an extent before you start 4ucking your team over.
