I'm not saying there aren't clans that do train their members or offer training, however I have yet to seen a dedicated pub server that just focuses strictly on the education of squad. To me it would be interesting to see such a server exist that doesn't necessarily tie you to a clan but creates more of a better atmosphere to game in.
Do they generally not get the licensed server for the general server browser? Is the server too small to actually try and get that, just curious as I do not know.
Training servers are not allowed a license. And they generally will get a little traffic but people quickly move onto live servers and traffic dies pretty quickly.
Just a bit confused, as I was reading the Squad Server Licensing rules from the forum page, it doesn't specifically deny licensing rights to training servers, I apologize if I may be out of line here, however would it be possible to allow one 20 player 24 hour Jensen Range server? Policed by a group of active admins that would be willing to show new players the ropes.
Still paid for by a person/clan, but solely dedicated to training so when free weekend does come out players can have the oppurtunity to learn some of the other mechanics of the game before jumping into their first battle.
Even if traffic is slow, with each new update until the final release and each free weekend I believe it would be nice to have at least 1 staffed training server that is not biased toward one clan, or community that can give, Veteran, Regular and Casual players a chance to learn how to operate as a team and also learn the terminology, sort of like a tutorial server but with an active person willing to teach noobs.
