Scope not zooming

I just bought the game and fired it up, went into the firing range and when I look through the scope it doesnt zoom in on target at all , whats the deal here ?

Ah just the rifle I was given , only played for a few minutes basically just to see if the game would run .

Just an FYI, you can't use the range to see if the game will run well. Nothing happens on that map.

There is no zoom for weapons with irons sights or red dot sights. Only acog and PSO scopes provide magnification.

I understand what you saying I was on my way out the door when it finished DL so thought lets see if the game will start ( Ive had games not even run) and then just thought a quick look and thats what I did maybe 2 minutes, will go back in tonight and have a good look around , it just seemed odd that my rifle had a scope on it and when looking at target it was the same res as outside of the scope .

Squad will not support picture in picture scopes. When you zoom in with an optic your entire field of view shrinks to provide magnification. It's normal.

Picture-in-picture scopes are not in this game.

They were in the beginning. Looked good but killed performance. They aren't coming back barring some miracle by either Epic or OWI.

just by aiming them. with iron sights and red dots you hold shift to pop out your eyeball a little bit lel

If you click left shift you get a little bit of zoom and it steadys the rifle.
