HAT too OP
Right now in my opinion, HAT is way too OP. Granted they are rare in a team as theres only 1 per 20 players but a BTR or Stryker in 1 hit? I would suggest making the HAT 2x more powerful than the HEAT and thats it, so 2x HEAT = 1 HAT. You could still take down lightly armoured vehicles like humvees etc with one HAT hit but only cripple a BTR or Stryker so it has to limp back to base for repairb or leaving it clear for an LAT member to finish off.

Until they have a more detailed damage system I am fine with what is implemented. Current LAT is super forgiving. Their MAT could be less easy to use at longer range but it's fine that it punishes stupid within 80m stuff.

Indeed, for the heavier vehicles it oughta be one HAT round + one LAT round for a kill, it feels a bit ridiculous to load up a full squad in an IFV at the beginning of the round and get one-shot by a HAT.

On that note though, I really hope that they add damage stages (e.g. tracks or turret disabled, but otherwise functional), and that trucks getting hit by LAT rounds at least kills the driver, it feels ridiculous to land a hit on a truck and it just keeps on trucking (pun intended).

Negative. HAT balance is fine. You guys need to get used to the fact that some things absolutely wreck vehicles. You want a 120mm sabot rounds from an m1 Abrams to not one hit kill a BTR or Stryker? Think about the implications of what you ask.

Also, vehicles are not all powerful, in many situations infantry have the advantage. Next time, instead of driving that full Stryker straight into the cap zone, stop 300 meters away and have the infantry dismount and do their jobs.
Polishkruk I'm not a noob and i know not to drive a Stryker like that but i'm talking about this from both sides of the argument, I've played HAT and taken out a loaded BTR from a mid distance away and even then I thought "That was cheap, that was too easy" and about the abrams tank, thats not even remotely close to what i'm saying is it? An RPG tandem warhead is not the same as a 120mm Sabot shot from an abrams.

You should have thought, "man they were stupid" instead. They are not impossible to avoid, it just takes a squad working together and an SL not being an idiot. Just last night kept our Stryker alive for the entire match. It was very useful for fire support and redeployment as well as engaging enemy vehicles. But I directed it to places that were easy to support and used my infantry as a screen.

Don't listen to all those people screaming "it's a video game, real life tactics don't apply" and you'll be surprised just how easy it is to nullify AT power.
It's about Balance for me, right now Strykers and MTLB's are the only armour in the game and the Tandem is too easy to use to be a one shot. They haven't even added javelins etc yet, and instead we have this easy to use RPg thats capable of wiping out a Stryker and BTR in 1 hit. I'm all for Tanks being able to destroy BTR's in 1, Javelins to wipe them out in 1 hit etc, but right now they should nerf them to put BTR's and strykers and MTLB's on very low health, making them easy targets for other LAT soldiers to finish off. Tandems should be able to take out Humvees and Techies in 1 but BTR's and MTLBs? Come on...

And I get the balance argument. But I'm looking at it for the Long haul and trying to get players adjusted to this style of gameplay. I argued since before v7 that the vehicles we first got shouldn't be so strong because it creates bad habits. And when you change those values to keep better balance you get people complaining because the game has changed.

In my opinion that's exactly what's happening with the HAT kit. Everyone is used to these light skinned vehicles being very tanky and used as assault vehicles but the HAT kit has disrupted that. Now people are even more upset.

I would bet you that if we had started with HMMWVs and technicals taking one LAT to kill and BTRs only taking two then we wouldn't have an issue here. Part of it is perception of course. Seeing the HAT be more than four times as powerful as a LAST kit is disturbing to some but it's got to be more powerful to be worth it I'm the first place. Been to long since I've played PR, cat remember if HAT kits there could one shot MBTs or if it took two.

AGREE make it 1 shot and 95 % Damage a striker, so 1 LAT oder like 5 Grandes or 1 Anti Tank grande can kill kil.

I agree with Polishkruk on this. I would enjoy if the mechanics favoured realistic combined arms tactics.

For effectively operating a support vehicle, I guess you need very good knowledge of the terrain*. It's about picking positions out of enemy AT-range from which you have clear fire lines to support your team. There is no need for getting any closer than necessary. Also, going to hull down-positions might make it more difficult for enemy RPGs and enemy vehicles to hit you, and concealment is also a good idea. The vehicles' main advantage is their reach. In the game, however, they're often used as spearheads. If it becomes necessary for the vehicle to operate within AT-danger-distance, it should be very well supported by infantry. Woods and villages are infantry terrain, not vehicle terrain.

My heart bleeds whenever a game starts with: "We take this BTR/humvee/whatever and go straight to "insert OBJ closest to enemy main here"". The next moment we're heading right towards the center of the OBJ at full speed. And plop! There goes our BTR and 30+ tickets (and we don't have a rally anywhere close).

* Unfortunately, at this state, I think the ingame map is severely lacking. It's extremely hard to get a somewaht clear picture of the terrain by looking at the map. I think it would greatly profit from contour-lines, indexed terrain features (http://steamcommunity.com/app/393380/discussions/0/135514231765331330/) and perhaps a closer zoom.

IRL a lot of infantry carry one-shot AT weapons, so light armor shouldn't be used as tanks.
Sure, there is a balance issue, but to make things realistic, we should make LATs more powerful, not the other way around. Or just issue every rifleman a single LAW / RPG22.

Keep your distance. Also localized vehicle damage will be a thing so watchout for that.

1 in 3 people out of a team of what? 30? 40? have a HAT. That's unfair? Oh, and the U.S. don't even have a HAT, so not even every game has enemy HAT.
