Why does it look so blurry?
Everything blurs out further than 20 meters, none of the ingame settings seems to help.

looks like ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AA to me

idk, typically depth of field causes the blurry crap, AA is for jaggys, if anything it would look more jaggy i would think.
ZeroSeven Apr 11, 2017 @ 3:09pm
yeah, TXAA makes the game very blurry.

Try turning off AntiAliasing in the graphic settings and turn up the resolution scaling instead.
See how it goes along with your FPS and if this is a better solution for you.

That's exactly what it is. This game has 2 basic graphic options, blurry as hell or pixelated.

Using Reshade can help, but it blows goats that we need to resort to such things in order to make mediocre graphics look even half decent and clear.

you forgot the resolution scaling which takes FPS but is as good as AA

Of course it's an option, if someone wants to hinder framerate even more on a game that already has performance issues...which is why servers are only 80 players, instead of the advertised 100.

It's also advertised as not finished, yet.

Quite right, doesn't change the fact that the game is still limited to 80 players, because it can't maintain performance with 100 players on a server.

SQUAD's also advertised as coming out of early access and releasing mid 2017, shouldn't that mean things should be coming together rather quickly?

You are right, OWI is ANTICIPATING to have Early Access finished until mid 2017.
“We are anticipating for Squad to remain in Early Access until mid 2017.”

Does that mean that a small studio like OWI is supposed to fullfill this date? Not neccessarily.
Besides, this is Off Topic.

Turning on Texture Streaming fixed the blurriness for me. Of course, make sure you have the required hardware before attemping that (4gb VRAM, 16 GB RAM I believe)

Try downloading reshade or sweetfx and customize things like sharpness and saturation and tons of other effects.
Chocoyote Apr 11, 2017 @ 7:12pm
they should a sharpness slider. i saw that in some games like dishonored where they use Taa or Txaa and then the slider to make it sharper.
SHO-SHIN Apr 11, 2017 @ 7:17pm
Turn everything off or to low, then up resolution scaling to what your system can handle re FPS.

Then tweak and graphical settings you wish to.

Squad is not finished yet, so expect it to change as development continues.
