Full Screen Error?
So i've always been able to load up squad and play with no problems at all on my laptop - All of a sudden though the game is struggling to use my entire screen? I have since tried a number of other games, all of which load up perfectly fine in full screen mode and are perfectaly playable!

I've tried to adjust my resolution on the laptop & even reinstalled the game, for some reason it has all of a sudden left a gap on the far right of my screen and seems to be keeping the toolbar visible! I've also received a noticable lag now on the menu, when I was 100fps+ at the title screen i'm now barely at 60!

I've attached a screenshot of what is currently happening, as you can see I can't even select a 'Resolution' option in the game settings. I'm not sure if anyone else may have faced the same problem? The game has been fine up until last night! I really would appreciate if anyone could share some guidance on this.

UPDATE:

Upon navigating the steam file on my system, I can load up the 'Squad' program perfectly fine, it launches in full screen and has resolution options available to me.

When I launch in steam or via the 'Squad_Launcher' program it causes the above error, no resolution options available and in a trimmed down window... This leads me to think it's an issue with the launcher and not my game/system?

I've found a temporary fix where I can play in windowed mode, really not ideal though as it's not as smooth. Barely hitting 25fps

go into the config file. C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Squad\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and open up gameusersettings and change fullscreen mode to 1 and last screenmode to 1. It should work now.

Afraid this didn't work for me, my file already had a 1 next to both of them.

Just tried this, still seem to be facing the problem. Can't understand why the Squad application loads fine in full screen, yet when I load the launcher it fails to utilise the full screen and won't allow me to select a resolution.

can you try deleting the binaries folder and verifying your game cache?

Thanks for the help, unfortunatley this doesn't seem to help. I've verified my game integrity (I think this is what you meant?), deleted the binaries folder and even downloaded the latest update/patch!

Still having the same problem, can't select a resolution under settings nor get the game into fullscreen, even when I click ALT & Return!!

Really out of ideas now :(

go into your profiles local appdata (%localappdata% or c:\users\username\Appdata\Local\Squad\Saved and delete the folder with INI files.
Reopen the game and run as Borderless. Full screen is broken it seems.

I have exact problem (But zoom-in trim to top left; rather than zoom-out )
I have asked but nobody ever replied.

I fix this by pressing alt and alt and it will fits my screen - but eventually it will fail again if I press any menu or using console. Also map icon will resize itself , as if I am using 720p

If the problem is relevant then i found a solution. In the properties of the game on Steam, you need to remove the "-dx12". After that, the game window behaves as it should, unfolds, the resolution changes.
