Yeah, I'm confused by this also.

It's night when you have to find the objects with that small round area that you move across the screen, and it's day every other time. Since english is not my primary language, I hope you guys can understand what I mean. :)

Yes, but when does it occur?

Yeah. That wasn't the question though. :)

The question is: is there a way to know when it will be night for a HO scene. Before you are actually in it.

I'd like to know that too. So far it seems random, luck, to get night when a quest demands it.

It's random and happens far less than finding objects according to shadows or names. You just gotta keep playing that area until you get night. I believe the night/day ratio is once every 5 times.

How can you be certain of that?

I not certain, I'm just saying what I could experience from playing the game. I could notice that night happens a lot less than day and if you pay attention you can get a probability ratio. Also, I didn't find anything that tells when you will play day or night in a certain area, hence my belief in it's randomness.

In the game is night when you are looking for objets in a town and the screen become black and you can look just a little round of town and objets sorry for my English

When you are looking for something in a specific town and you see that screen become black that moment is NIGHT, is like that you see the town through a little hole, sorry for my English

I would agree with Rachel and also with the 5:1 ratio. It is not 100% accurate, as it is somehow random, but I see and understand the mechanics the same way. Basically, there is no telling if there will be shadow/night/normal scenario, not before you actaully start it.

Hi, for me night is always after i reach a new mastery level for that location and do that scene after that for the first time and randomly around the middle to the next mastery level. Well thats how it was till now for me, could still be that it just happend randomly at this times.

Also when the same location is accessed in a sequence, there is higher chance to get special (shadow or night)
And I feel like the chance increases to get night, when there is actual quest for it.
