This game needs a "pick up" key

You can play the game with a keyboard quite easily except you can't pick things up. I think it won't open chests with a key when you bump them either.

That's a good idea ... I'm not sure why I never thought of that before. I guess I just go really used to playing with the mouse, and I was never really happy with the keyboard movement on a diagonal grid, so maybe I didn't push the keyboard features far enough.

why not use the number pad to move diagonally its perfect

all classic roguelikes use numbpad for movemet and its perfect for all 8 directions.
