playing in 2024
Hey. I have a question. should I wait for the patch to officially release or should I re download the game now? I got the urge to play it again. if I play without the Umbaral and Nakalim expansions. I should avoid most of the problems currently present right?

Yes, but also disable Dark Matter DLC.
OR you can play with ESG 1.6 mod, which fixes bugs and balances the DLC, though I still disable Penumbra (I just hate the hacking mechanic).

You don't have to disable anything if you go to library > right click into Endless Space 2 > "Betas" tab > select "patch preview - Preview" from the dropdown list there.

Is almost the next official version, you can play with any DLC combination and the game will be much more stable.

thanks that worked. is there a way to disable the cravers. they appear in every game i played since re installing. they keep spawning next to me or traveling half way across the galaxy to forward settle me. I keep getting threatened by both them and the empire.

You can choose all the opposing factions when starting a new game.
