Still Crashing on Load on Dell Laptop
Hi,

I've gone through all the steps in the [Read First] thread. I implemented them one at time and in the order that they appear in the OP. Each time, the game would still crash on the load screen. I even tried checking the "Disable Display Scaling on High DPI" setting. But that did not work either.

Here are my system specs:

Windows 10 Dell Inspiron 7000 Series 7537 BTX 17” laptop with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80 GHz, 16GB Ram, 64- bit Operating system, x64 processor, and 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics card.

All drivers, virus protection, and programs are updated. If there is a crashlog somewhere I can send, let me know where to find it and where to send it, and I'll be happy to do that.

Peace,

-Troy

your processor seem to me, to be rather under powered. I would watch your heat ans see what your computer does. But honestly, not to be rude, I am not a fan of laptops, just because they dont stack up well against the their big brothers, the desk top. I would look into forums on you laptop and see if your even able to overclock. But dont do that unless you know what you are doing, this could damage your cpu. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful.:steamsad:

Heat is not an issue since I can't even get past the load scren.
Same here. Crashes after the static loading screens. I have Dell Latitude E5550.
Solved. There was a fix in the common issues discussion.

"Please verify if your monitor is plugged into the GPU and not the default slot of the motherboard.
Go to the nVIDIA control panel.
Then go to “Manage 3D Settings”, “Program Settings”.
Look for or add “Endless Space 2” on the drop-list and tell nVIDIA to use the high performance graphics processor instead of the on-board graphics card."
If you can't fin it in the list use the add button.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and now it works. Go figure.
In my case it was using the integrated GPU instead of the GeForce 840M and I just changed that from the NVIDIA Control Panel.
I Tried with the high performance option. but all it gives me is failure to start steam API.
