Bombers Question
Alright, so I have a Sheredyn class ship (medium coordinator, playing UE). Everything empty. 3 squadron slots.

Config 1: I put 3 Basic Bombers, I get 300 attack rating. I put Kinetic Enhancer (20% projectile damage), I get 420 attack rating. Because the Kinetic Enhancer enhances the projectile type Basic Bombers.

Config 2: I clear everything and put 3 Basic Plasma Bombers (which are energy type). I get 250 attack rating. I put Plasma Intensifier (20% energy damage). The attack rating stays 250.

Why in the second case the attack rating doesn't get better with the support module?

I'm still new to this game as well, so I may not know well enough to answer you best.

The plasma intesifer probably has been over looked. Report it as a bug.

Alternatively, the fighters and bombers read as damage per second. Consider researching N-Dimensional Industry for Strike Multiplier.

Mainly because them made it hardcoded. Plasma bombers are not in the game unless you use a dlc. Before downloading the dlc I made fighters using energy and bombers physical, this way you won't have to think too much about disadvantages. Fighters don't gain anything on enchanters unless you use them to attack ships. When attacking bombers/fighters the stats of the fighters are supposed to be balanced to take down the bombers without any modules. You can instead take the advantage of having energy enchanters on ships with energy enchanted fighters. The elements only impact ships. Squadrons don't have shields or armor and be just making the game to the worse knowing that enchanters not working correctly on squadrons, the only solution be to make enchanters not increase the damage of squadrons and boost the damage input of the module instead. Fighters normally don't attack ships and it's possible to increase and balance the damage of energy enchanted fighters without unbalance the game. We can't do anything than build around the problem and fix the game in other ways, because this has been for a long time and none has come up with any other solution.

I have no DLCs.

In a later, different build, the Plasma Intensifier did increase the attack rating. Go figure...

FYI, As they currently exist, even with all of the DLC, fighters and bombers are worthless. There is a quest bomber that is almost not worthless, but it takes so long to get, and you might as well just keep using the beams anyway.

The only advantage that they have is that they can attack from any lane to any other lane, but they take so long to "get going" that you might as well just spend your dust on the beam weapons, which work at any range and don't miss.

On your coordinator ships, add the shield interference beam, to remove their shields, and your big ships can just laser beam anything away.

Basically, once I am in the end game, I am only using beams and rail guns. If an enemy is using a lot of missiles, I might add a slug weapon for the flak bonus, but typically, I just have a big ship either loaded with beams or one loaded with rails (or both), the strat resources you save from using rails means you should use the top tier armor you have, so the rail boats can get close (if your beam ships didn't rip everything apart anyway.

A full 24pt fleet for me might be:
Beam spam carrier - 6pts
Either (Rail spam carrier) OR (1x rail spam battleship + 1x beam spam battleship) - 6pts
Beam Spam or Missle Spam battleship (depending on enemy fleets) - 3pts
Siege Coordinator w/ anti-shield beams - 3 pts
Fleet Shield / Repair Coordinator w/ anti-shield Beam - 3 pts
2x "Tugboat" small coordinator ships (basically loaded with Fleet movers) - 2 pts
1x either scout ship (for the probes) or a mini ship, either way, more anti-shield beams - 1 pts

Yes you do have a dlc, you have the community dlc. Plasma bombers don't exist without it. You downloaded it from their community forum. You just forgot it's there.

Oh, I see. I meant that I just bought the basic version of the game without any add-ons I thought.
