Best mods to use
Hi,

just wondering if there are recommended mods u use.

Atm i use:
- Intuitive GUI Colors
- Enhanced Space 2 - Community bug fix and balance mod

How is "ESG Mod - 1.3.0"?
Does it work with "Enhanced Space 2 - Community bug fix and balance mod"?
Which one is better?

Are there other mods u would suggest?
Thx.

Greetings.

Bart

I use ESG 1.3.0 I feel it is the best overall mod to bring ES2 into balance.

I like https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1233946283

just seems to help in overall balance.

This is just a personal preference. Makes the map make a bit more sense for me.

Remember any mods disable any Steam achievements if you are into that.

I play with ESG 1.3.0 and this one https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1301600120
I used to play with Galaxy Generation Bigger Systems, but now I am more focused on making the AI more aggressive, so I figured that being able to settle on either 4 or 5 planet systems would take away from that. I only play with Conquest and Supremacy victories enabled to try to compound on that.

The order in which one loads the mods matter, so to make sure the changes from ESG 1.3.0 (or any other mod for that matter) are not stepped on, load it last.

That mod sounds good. Game should be more challenging.
Do victory conditions effect the AI?
Why do u both use ESG Mod - 1.3.0 and not Enhanced Space 2?

When the game screen loads click on the mods icon. You will get a list of your current mods. Assign load order numbers by moving them up and down. You will see a number to the left of the active mods. If they do not seem to work the way you expected move them up or down.

The first mod you click gets assigned the number 1, the 2nd mod you click gets a 2 and so forth. The mods get loaded following the 1,2,3, ..., N order you give them.

If ESG mod changes a military tech that is also changed by BattleMod, the mod loaded later will prevail. All other changes with no conflict will be active as long as the mods play nice together (compatible).

BattleMod makes changes to combat lanes and ship templates, resulting on a more interesting/difficult early-mid game. Same can be said of ESG Mod, although it is more comprehensive and not just limited to combat. For this reason I load ESG last.
