move cancel

I cue my fleet to move to another system say it takes 3 turns. But then i decide i want to cancel that move and return the my original system can i cancel that move and go back. I cannot find a way to do this is there a way or are you locked in when you que your movement to another system.

As far as I know you can't. As soon as you exit a system you have to reach another system before being able to give a different move order. Even if it'll take a dozen turns to cross the empty space.

That's to bad that you can not do this had a 13 turn move of my fleet that i could not take back lol.

You can always hover your mouse over a potential destination with you RMB pressed, and it will tell you how many turns it takes to get there. Then, move away from the system and release the RMB on empty space to not commit to movement.

13 turns? I`m not sure if I understand correctly but if the fleet hasn`t moved you can cancel by clicking on the system they are in. If the fleet has moved you can cancel by selecting the fleet and clicking on the next star system they will reach, so they don`t have to move all they way you selected befor.

A direct route between two far away systems can't be cancelled and can take a while.

When i cue up a move to another star system and my ship moves out into the star lane i cannot cancel that move. Say i want to turn back and go back to the star system i left i will have to travel to the original destination star system then turn around and fly back to the system i left.
