Which DLC should I activate/deactivate in first play?
I have been checking out some play throughs of this game on youtube and I finally bought it thanks to the big sale. I got the bundle and own all the DLCs but I'm not sure I should play with all of them activated before understanding the game. How do you think?

I advice you to disable Penumbra and Supremacy for your first game. Once you get comfortable with the game, you can enable them.

If you haven’t played turn-based strategies before, you can disable all DLCs.
start from basic. all DLC disable. once you get a hang of it. start enjoying DLC 1 by 1.

You can keep Supremacy enabled, because you can very well play ignoring Behemoths at all, but you'd better get used to those Obliterator shots, because it may prove too much of a shock for you on later playthroughs.

I also advise starting with vanilla to not be overwhelmeled by content and mechanics. First major DLC that is good for start is Vaulters faction - it follows most of the basic mechanics and is quite powerful from the start. Hissio from Supremacy are bit more diffucult to get a grasp on.

Hi, i think start from vanilla game it's good idea, but i agree with " I>U ", supremacy it's not very hard to learn , you can try to activate it after 2 or 3 games for know how to play with obliterator .. it's literraly change the way of the game, speed more the endgame when all have very good positions, 2 or 3 shots help alot :)

Vaulter it's good expansion with one of the most OP faction and one to be the most easy to learn, gates help alot for the mid / engame.
Penumbra it's the most hardest expansion with lots of new things in gameplay and after spend lots of time in the game i desactivate it because " hacking " it's very slow and boring, anyway it's my opinion.

Thank you for the advise! I think starting from vanilla would be the best option for me. I've played civ5 before but that was a while ago. I'm so excited!
